So long, 2020! It’s normal to look back nostalgically at the year we’ve had, but with the civil unrest, western wildfires, threat of killer hornets, and of course, the pandemic, 2020 was not the kind of year that you stay tender to. So goodbye, 2020, and good riddance! 2021 will have plenty of challenges for us. There’s hope on the horizon now that a vaccine to COVID-19 has been approved, but with the economy in rough shape and so many out of work and/or homeless in the ensuing closedowns, the future is an undiscovered country that might be just as bad as the previous year. But the important thing now is to plan for 2021, and make the safe bets. What the Head Gasket Does A car's engine contains two parts consisting of the cylinder block and the cylinder head. The cylinder block contains the pistons and cylinders. The cylinder head contains the spark plugs, valves and camshaft. The head gasket is located between these two engine parts. The head gasket has a critical function. It is responsible for sealing the cylinders' firing pressure and to ensure oil and engine coolant doesn't leak onto the cylinders or to the outside.
